Uva Ursi or bearberry is so named because bears are particularly fond of this plant. It has been used in Native American smudging ceremonies to carry one's prayers to the spirits. It has a drying effect and can reduce swelling and bacteria. It mixes well with dandelion, peppermint and hops. 1 lb. whole.

Uva Ursi is not recommended for use in children, or women who are pregnant or breastfeeding. Uvi Ursi is not recommended for long term use or use in high doses. It may produce side effects such as stomach ache, irritability, nausea, or discolored urine. Uva Ursi may interact with lithium, supplements with high vitamin C, iron supplements, or NSAIDS.
