Product Description
Introduction
Red sandalwood (Pterocarpus Santalinus) comes from a completely different plant than true white or yellow sandalwood from Sandal trees (Santalaceae Santalum Album). Both types of sandalwood are used for some overlapping purposes. Red sandalwood is most often used for cosmetic purposes. It is very nourishing to the skin and can be used in a wide range of beauty products. It is often mixed with milk, honey, or rose water to create a paste that can be applied to the skin. It has a nice fragrance although it is not as strong as yellow or white sandalwood.
