Copal is a resin from trees which can be found growing in North, South, and Central America. It is considered sacred to many peoples of South and Central America, including the Mayans. Black copal is burned as an Incense. It has a heavy rich scent which has more of a pine undertone than other types of copal and is considered by some to be the most desirable of all the copal's. Black Copal resin is used for purification in Native ceremonies and also helps to bring in the vibration of love. Copal resin Incense is burned year round in the churches of Mexico and has been used as an offering to the gods in Central America. Black copal Incense is best known in Mexico as an Incense burned on the Day of the Dead. 1.5 oz. chunks.
